My Summer Night Skin Care Routine

At the beginning of summer, my skin was really acting up – large pores, blackheads, oiliness, acne – things that happen to me, but not typically at this time of year. Then I realised that I was still using products I was using when it was Winter and my skin was probably being over exfoliated and over moisturised. So I decided to change up my skin care routine and I thought I’d share it with you now ūüôā

Firstly I take off makeup with Garnier Micellar water for oily skin. This allows a clean base for cleansing so it can really wash my skin and pores.

Next I jump in the shower and wash my face with¬†Garnier Skin Active Pure Cleansing Gel.¬†I’ve really been liking going back to basic with a gentle every day gel cleanser, rather than what I usually opt for (which is a more deep cleansing exfoliator cleanser.)

Once I’ve finished up in the shower and dried my face, I swipe a damp cotton pad with the my new found favourite –¬†Pixie Glow Tonic. This step is so satisfying when more dirt comes out of your open pores. I have found my pores to have reduced in size since using this product, which is amazing too!

Another new addition to my skincare routine is applying the Bioderma Sensibio Eye Cream. I have yet to see a difference, but my under eyes definitely feel a lot more hydrated since using an under eye cream.

And of course, I moisturise with my favourite Eminence Green Tea Moisturiser. Not only does this smell great, but it leaves your skin feeling so amazingly refreshed and energized.

Let me know what you’re favourite summer products are in the comments!
