Pixie Glow Tonic | Review

Since winter, I’ve been using a physical exfoliator 1 to 2 times per week, but it just doesn’t seem to be working as well in the summer months. So I thought I’d finally cave and try out the Pixie Glow Tonic, which is more of a chemical exfoliator.

I’m not one to splurge on a lot of things, but sometimes when it comes to skincare you got to! The good thing about the Pixie Glow Tonic is that it comes in different sizes which makes things a little more affordable. Although, I wouldn’t say it’s anΒ expensiveΒ brand anyway, just a little more than say Neutrogena, etc.

So, if like me, you’ve been wanting to try the Pixie Glow Tonic, then I thought I’d do a little review on it for you πŸ™‚

There’s not much to say about the packaging than that the colour scheme is very appealing to the woman’s eye. It’s just an average plastic bottle where the product pours out from a small hole in the top.

Before I get into the product review, I want to let you know what my problem area’s were before using the Glow Tonic.

  • My skin was oily
  • Couple breakouts every few weeks, more when it was my time of month – usually around my chin and forehead
  • Large pores in my t-zone
  • Uneven skin tone & texture
  • My skin just felt and looked a bitΒ dull

Pixie claims (on their website) that the 5% glycolic acid helps exfoliate and purify, ginseng helps with circulation, and aloe soothes and hydrates. These three main ingredients working together will minimize appearance of pores, reveal a glowier complexion, and will balance and soothe for healthier looking skin. It is alcohol free and suitable for all skin types. So did I find that it did what they claimed it would do?

Yes I did.Β The first thing I really noticed was the size of my pores. They had reduced significantly over the first week, and I have hardly any blackheads on my cheeks. I still have a few breakouts, but not nearly as many as I did prior to using the toner. However, I do find that my skin is even more oilier during the night once I’ve applied this and moisturised, but it isn’t a big deal since I use it before bed and cleanse in the morning.

Basically, I have really enjoyed using this product so far, and will continue to use it to see if my skin gets any better!!

Have you tried the Pixie Glow Tonic? How did you like/dislike it?

Love,
Courtney xo

    1. You definitely should!! It’s good that they do smaller sizes too, just in case your skin doesn’t like it πŸ™‚ x
