7 Quotes I Live By

“Don’t do it because you have to. Do it because you want to.”
This is the first quote because I really want to try to apply this to my life. So much of my life recently has been needing to or having to when really I could just change my mindset on doing particular things and I can basically guarantee it’s going to change my mood.

“The bad news – nothing lasts forever. The good news – nothing lasts forever.”
Whenever I’m going through a rough patch, I always remind myself of this.

“Don’t give up on the things that make you smile.”
It can be so easy to make today like yesterday and things just become a bit mundane. I like this quote because it kind of brings me back to the present and reminds to smile and keep doing the things I enjoy and seeing the people I love.

“Your life isn’t yours if you constantly care what others think.”
This resonates to me on so many levels. Around new people, I’m so shy and introverted. But as soon as I become comfortable around the people, BAM I’m me, myself & I. So why do I live my life like this??? I know I’m wasting so many precious minutes with new people that could well be new memories instead.

“There are no strangers in here. Just friends you haven’t met yet.”
This is a quote from Roald Dahl, and I am really going to try and apply this when meeting new peoples, especially in a larger social gathering. Kind of goes with the above quote, so I should be making new mem’s with new peep’s in no time!

These next two quotes are from The Greatest Showman:

“Comfort, the enemy of progress.”
I’ve always been about change in my life, but sometimes it can get a little overwhelming. Take finding a new job for example – you’re so comfortable in your job currently that you really can’t be bothered looking for a new one, being interviewed, then getting trained. But who knows what the opportunities that new job could bring?!

“You don’t need everyone to love you, just a few good people.” This one reminds me of the other famous quote I have never forgotten – “Those who mind don’t matter, and whose who matter don’t mind.” They’re both soooo true!! If people don’t like you for who you truly are, then why bother trying?

What are some of your favourite quotes or life mantra’s you like to live by?

Love, Courtney
