Even though we are entering the most busiest time of the year, I wanted to create some goals for myself to achieve before the new year rolls around. December can be really hectic with Christmas shopping, Christmas work parties, Christmas holidays, etc etc…. so I highly recommend writing a list of things you want to achieve for yourself. So here are all the things I’m trying to achieve before 2018…
Finish a book. I am currently reading The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas. Because I’ve been sooo slack at reading this year, I really want to finish this one before the new year.
Take more baths. I’m not a huge bather, however in the colder months I do thank myself for getting in a bath when I do.
Apply for a new work visa. If Christmas shopping wasn’t hard enough, I now have to apply to renew my Canadian work visa. I’m not a procrastinator at all, but when it comes to this, I am. It’s so stressful, and even more so with all the other expenses and stress that comes with this time of year.
Drink more water. I have been terrible at this the past few months, and really need to get back into drinking more.
Stop being so indecisive. This is kind of a weird one, but I really am that girl who says “it’s up to you,” and “I don’t care where we eat or what we do,” and I don’t want to do that anymore. I want to start being more straight-to-the-point with my words and stop being introverted so I can start doing the things that I want to do.
Start Christmas shopping ASAP. The past two years I have left it to the last minute – meaning I’ve left it to the weekend before Christmas! I have made a promise to myself that I’m not doing it again this year. But I should probably start soon because it’s already mid-way through November.. what?!
Save money where I can. I have been super strict with budgeting this year, which I am sooo happy with myself for doing. But I have stopped putting money away for now until the new year., so that I have money for Christmas shopping, Christmas parties and my work visa renewal. But in saying that, I do hope I have money left after Christmas so I can pop it into my savings.
Try new, healthy recipes. I’ve been trying to expand my knowledge and passion for cooking healthy dinners, so I don’t want this to stop now as life is about to get a whole lot busier.
What are some things you’re trying to achieve?
Love, Courtney

These are a great set of goals to achieve. I always leave my Christmas shopping till really late and then regret it as I’ll be rushing around. xx

We have a lot of the same goals: particularly drinking water and Christmas shopping—two things that often slip my mind. Thank you for sharing this lovely post!

These are great goals, I am also usually someone to leave Christmas shopping really late and as often as I’ve said I won’t this year it looks like I’m going to be leaving it late, again. I love your blog btw so I nominated you for the blogger recognition award! You can find my post and the rules here: https://justapeachylife.wordpress.com/2017/11/19/blogger-recognition-award/
