5 Minute, 5 Ingredient Hummus

I love hummus, but I’ve never understood why it’s so expensive to buy?! It’s mainly just chickpeas, which you can get for next to nothing. So I thought I’d share my recipe for making this delicious dip. It’s so quick and easy, and you should have most of these ingredients in your cupboard already.Β 22882576_10208342643483645_588833416_o_fotor1.jpg

What you’ll need:

  • 1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
  • 2 tblsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp minced garlic
  • 3/4 tsp cumin
  • 2 tblsp water
  • Salt to taste

Let’s Go!

1. Put everything into a food processor (I used my ninja blender), and whiz up the ingredients until smooth. Add another spoonful of water if you like it a little more thin.

That’s literally it! Store in an air-tight container in the fridge for up to five days. I also like to sprinkle a little bit of paprika on top if I’m serving it as a dip πŸ™‚
